About Senator Mike McKell
Mike McKell is a member of the Utah State Senate representing District 25. Mike was elected as the Majority Assistant Whip in 2024 and is chair of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Coordination Committee. He earned a B.A. from Southern Utah University and a J.D. from the University of Idaho.
In his professional life, Mike works as an attorney and is the founding partner of Utah Legal Team. Mike has been recognized as one of Utah’s Legal Elite and is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell and has a perfect 10.0 AVVO rating. In 2023, Mike sponsored groundbreaking legislation to protect teens from the harms of social media. Since the bill’s passage, 11 other states have enacted bills or adopted resolutions to safeguard children from social media.
Mike and his wife Brandi are parents to four children. In his free time, Mike enjoys working on his farm, racing horses and running marathons.
